For a number of years we advised Silver Cross, the leading British nursery brand and manufacturer, on its corporate communications with a particular focus on raising the brand’s profile in the UK and Chinese media, given the popularity of the brand in that region.
One of our key objectives was to deliver positive coverage of the business ahead of any potential sale and then manage the communications around the sale process, including mitigating potentially damaging leaks and working closely with the prospective buyer, most likely from China.
We secured supportive coverage in multiple media outlets focusing on the brand’s luxury heritage, robust sales figures and plans for future growth in the UK and China.
Our strategic communications campaign culminated in the sale of the company to Fosun Group, one of China’s leading conglomerates, in July 2015 for an undisclosed sum.
